About Salisbury Hospice Charity

Why is the Charity needed?
Salisbury Hospice is the only provider of specialist palliative care in the local area. Although they receive some NHS funding, they rely heavily on fundraising and donations to cover the annual running costs.

Salisbury Hospice Charity aims to raise £1.5 million towards these costs every year.

Making a difference, every day
Through the generosity and support of local people, Salisbury Hospice can continue to offer nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, complementary therapies and creative activities.

These services are provided free to patients and their families – either at the hospice, in the community or in their own homes.

They don’t just help people in the last few weeks of their lives – they often provide care for up to a year or longer.

The hospice provides support through:

Inpatient unit
Hospice at Home service
Peter Gillam Day Centre
Community palliative care team
Hospital palliative care team
Family support
Education programme
The hospice team couldn’t do all of this without your support. Find out more about how you can donate, fundraise or volunteer for us by visiting our website.
